Pray like you mean it!

Pray like you mean it!

No, seriously. We have a shot at coming home to Birmingham as the company Michael works for has approved a new office in the Hoover area! As most of you know, we are DESPERATE to get out of Montgomery and back HOME to the big ole' salty Ham.
Time frame? At most, 10 months before the office will open. On Monday, Scottrade will announce the office and begin accepting applications. We have our pluses: like experience, being from the area, willing to move (!!!), etc. But, we have our bad points too: leaving the spot open in a place that's hard to fill, we JUST relocated, it being a bigger office, and competition from other managers that might want the office, etc.
So, we are asking that you PLEASE PRAY HARD! If you don't pray, then will it, send us your good juju, vibes, whatever!
Then, pray we can sell our house!
Then, pray I don't throw a huge "we're home" extravaganza that you'll be forced to attend!!!!
¡¡¡¡¡ I'M SO DANG EXCITED!!!!!!!

Happy Memorial Day

We celebrated with our new neighbor friends and their kids with lots of food and a waterslide, trampoline, and playground for the 6+ kids (and 2 infants). Good times!
Hope you enjoyed your day off and remembered those who served our country.

Skullduggery!

Skullduggery!

That' right. I said it... and because I knew it meant "to trick", I gave 10 grains of rice to feed the hungry. To give it a whirl just try this vocab game found at FreeRice.com . For every vocab word you answer correctly, 10 grains are donated by sponsored links. Your difficulty level is regulated by the correct answers and your progress is tracked. A win-win for all!

Attention M&M Shoppers

Conner: Momma! Blue MNM! Teez??
Me: You'd like a blue m&m? Ok. How many? (opens frig, ready to dispense "mnm's")
Conner: Two, three, five, eight, nine!
Me: So you want several.
Conner: Sefrail, uh huh! (exits, grabs something from living room table, returns to me in front of frig).
(Con hands me 3 "baby monies" aka pennies)
Me: Is this payment?
Conner: 3. Tank you.

I am more than a baby machine!

I have a strange passion for consumerism. It's what makes America tick, it's the reason most are employed, it's what we use the paycheck from our jobs on, it's what supports our favoite movies, television shows and radio programs. Consuming is an interesting thing, and consuming in moderation is healthy. But what drives Americans to consume and the reason we choose product A over B is the heart of my interest in the topic.
It's the reason I changed majors from journalism to advertising/public relations. I've always enjoyed writing - and when (on a whim) I decided to take Dr. Gonzenbach's intro PR course, I knew within weeks I had finally found something I could be good at.
I remember talking with Dr. G late in the semester... Explaining to him my passion for writing but never knowing what to do with my nagging desire to ... well... do more than report. I have opinions ... usually strong ones.
To combine these things, I've decided to start blogging on product reviews. I am a strong supporter of word-of-mouth advertising. So, I am going to put my opinions where by blog is.
If you like my reviews, try the product. If you agree, let me know. If you don't - let me know that too! Like I said before: I think consuming is important, especially for our economy (duh). I also LOVE supporting products that make mommy-life simpler, are locally made, made in the good ole USA, and of course products that make life "a little greener" or are recyclable.
So, if you've been dieing to try a new product, but can't seem to pull the trigger ... shoot me some suggestions!
First reviews?? Neotogo, Charmin extra strong and Munchkin portable bottle warmer.
Oh, and don't expect all my reviews to be bottles of sunshine, I'm going to be honest! I want to support products, but I also want to steer moms and other readers away from the clunkers!

Just a few from the iPhone

Whatever

I don't know why the beautiful pics I take from my iphone don't post, and darnit, it's making me mad. The process is SOOO simple, but apparently blogger is "working on it". Right... "checks in the mail".

The beach was great and really helped get me out of what seemed the be endless depression. Chase acted better than terrible and Conner was a ball! He really enjoyed swimming and took right to it (no shocker there if any of you know me, I'm part fish!). Chase seemed to really take to all the outdoorsiness and stayed bright eyed at the beach, mesmorized by the ocean.

Speaking of my iphone, I am sans such as it pooped out on me in what apple is calling "a freak technological issue". Right. So, it is being replaced but via snailmail. Luckily, it's all free but unfortunately, it'll be the end of the week till I get it back.

This weekend is Lindsey's shower, followed by one off weekend, then two doctors appointments, then Lindsey's wedding, then another neurology appointment, then my head is scheduled to explode as well as my laundry pile.

If you need me - check the floor, as I'm bound to be passed out somewhere. Yay!

Soon to come? REAL pics of the boys and my tub-o-lard rear from the beach AND my all-time favorite: Product Reviews!

Big red cup

We are buying stock in solo cups, Inc. He played with this thing all week and on the way home.
